Certified Pharmacy Technician
Job Summary:

As a certified pharmacy technician, prepares, compounds, and dispenses medical orders/prescriptions
under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Responsibilities:
-May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department.
-Receives and stores incoming supplies.
-Verifies stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
-Communicates effectively with customers.-
-Performs a variety of tasks.
-Typically reports to supervisor or manager.
-Performs other related duties as assigned.
-Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
-Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
-Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
-Competent to meet age specific needs of the patients served.

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or GED preferred
-Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent work experience preferred
-Must have a Certified Pharmacy Technician license with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy
-Must have at least one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
-Demonstrated ability to use computer skills including keyboarding and practical data entry into
data based software programs
-BLS required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH
BLS during General Orientation

Full time, 40 hours per week, day shift with occasional call in after hours or on weekends.
